Shiv Sena Announces ‘Tamrel Morcha’ on June 9 Against Water Scarcity in Mira-Bhayandar
Amid worsening water shortages across Mira-Bhayandar, Shiv Sena has announced a ‘Tamrel Morcha’ on June 9 to protest against the civic administration's handling of the water supply crisis. The party has accused the municipal administration of poor planning and negligence.
Taking an aggressive stand against the ongoing water crisis in the city, Shiv Sena has announced a massive ‘Tamrel Morcha’ to the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) headquarters on June 9. The announcement was made during a press conference where party leaders strongly criticized the civic administration for its alleged failure to ensure a regular water supply.
Shiv Sena Women District Organizer Nisha Narvekar stated that residents in several parts of the city have been facing severe hardships due to irregular water supply. According to her, many localities are receiving water only once every three to four days, while others are struggling with low-pressure and erratic supply timings.
She alleged that the municipal administration's water distribution system has completely collapsed, forcing citizens, particularly women and senior citizens, to spend hours arranging water for their daily needs. The situation has created widespread public anger and frustration across the city.
Party leaders emphasized that water is a fundamental right of every citizen and questioned why taxpayers are still being forced to struggle for basic necessities. They claimed that repeated complaints and representations to the administration have gone unanswered, leaving public protests as the only remaining option.
The ‘Tamrel Morcha’ will begin at 11:00 AM on June 9 from the Shiv Sena Central Office in Bhayandar West and proceed to the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation headquarters. A large number of residents, women, and Shiv Sena workers are expected to participate in the protest, demanding immediate action to resolve the city's water supply issues.
The party has urged citizens to join the movement and raise their voice against the ongoing water crisis affecting thousands of families across Mira-Bhayandar.
