Villagers Reach CM’s Office Over Closure of Sarayrashi-Sanethu Road

Residents and local representatives have intensified their protest against the closure of the Sarayrashi-Sanethu main road, with the matter now reaching the office of the Chief Minister.

According to reports, the road closure has caused severe inconvenience to villagers, farmers, students, traders, and patients in the region. The issue has become a major concern in recent days, with continuous public protests and demands for immediate action.

District Panchayat Chairperson Alok Singh Rohit met the Chief Minister and submitted a memorandum highlighting the difficulties faced by the rural population due to the closure of the road by the railway department.

Locals claimed that nearly 30,000 residents from surrounding villages are directly affected. Students are reportedly forced to travel an additional 8 to 10 kilometers daily to reach schools, while traders and farmers are also facing transportation issues.

The Chief Minister reportedly assured villagers that the matter would be investigated seriously and that concerned officials would be directed to take appropriate action. Authorities are also expected to explore alternative arrangements if reopening the road immediately is not possible.

Speaking after the meeting, Alok Singh Rohit said that public convenience remains the top priority and that villagers will continue their struggle until a proper solution is provided.

Residents have expressed hope that the Chief Minister’s intervention will lead to a quick resolution of the issue.
