Mira-Bhayandar Mayor Dimple Mehta Inaugurates Modern Library and LPG Animal Crematorium
Dimple Mehta inaugurated a state-of-the-art modern library along with an eco-friendly LPG-based animal crematorium in Mira-Bhayandar, aiming to promote education, public welfare, and sustainable civic infrastructure.
Mira-Bhayandar — Mayor Dimple Vinod Mehta inaugurated a modern study room and library at Penkarpada, along with an advanced LPG-based crematorium system for deceased animals at Morva village in Bhayandar West on May 15, 2026.
The newly developed study center and library at Mahajanwadi, Penkarpada, under Ward Committee No. 6, has been created to provide students and citizens with a peaceful and well-equipped space for competitive exam preparation and educational studies. The facility will offer study seating, books on various subjects, competitive exam materials, and periodicals aimed at supporting students in their academic growth.
Several dignitaries, including Anita Patil, Chairperson of the Women and Child Welfare Committee, Hema Belani, Deputy Chairperson, local corporators, civic officials, students, and residents attended the inauguration ceremony.
Later in the day, Mayor Dimple Mehta also inaugurated a state-of-the-art LPG crematorium system for the final rites of deceased dogs and cats at the Morva crematorium ground in Bhayandar West. The civic body stated that the new system will ensure cleaner, safer, and environmentally friendly disposal of animal remains while providing improved public facilities for residents.
The event was attended by Anita Patil, Hema Belani, Varsha Bhanushali, local representatives, municipal officers, and citizens in large numbers.
