Mayor Day Initiative Launched in Mira-Bhayandar for Quick Resolution of Citizens’ Complaints

In a significant step towards ensuring quick and effective resolution of public grievances, Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation successfully organized “Mayor Day” at the Mayor’s Office on Monday morning.

The initiative, scheduled to be held on the second Monday of every month, aims to provide citizens with a direct platform to present their complaints before the Mayor and senior civic officials. A large number of complainants attended the session and raised issues related to water supply, sanitation, roads, encroachments, property tax, and other civic facilities.

During the meeting, Mayor Dimple Mehta along with senior officials from various municipal departments personally heard the grievances of citizens and instructed departments to take immediate action on pending complaints. The Mayor also directed officials to ensure that complainants should not have to repeatedly visit municipal offices regarding the same issue.

The administration expressed confidence that the “Mayor Day” initiative will bring greater transparency, accountability, and speed to the complaint redressal process while reducing the need for citizens to make multiple visits to government offices. The initiative is also expected to strengthen communication between citizens and the civic administration.

Mayor Dimple Mehta appealed to residents of Mira-Bhayandar to actively participate in the initiative and directly present their civic concerns for speedy resolution. She stated that “Mayor Day” would become an important step toward the overall development of the city and citizen satisfaction.

Several senior officials attended the meeting, including Additional Commissioner Priyanka Rajput, Deputy Commissioners Kavita Borkar, Pranali Ghonghe, and Swapnil Sawant, along with officials from the town planning, water supply, fire department, medical, public relations, social development, and legal departments.
