Mira-Bhayandar Youth Congress Protests Over NEET Paper Leak, Demands Resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

In a strong show of protest against the NEET examination paper leak controversy, the Mira-Bhayandar Youth Congress staged a demonstration at Golden Nest Circle in Bhayandar on Friday, demanding the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The protest was organized under the leadership of Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress Vice President Afreen Syed Muzaffar Hussain. Demonstrators carried out a symbolic funeral procession representing the shattered dreams of students and expressed anger over what they described as the failure of the country's examination and education system.

Youth Congress leaders alleged that repeated incidents of paper leaks, corruption in examination processes, and administrative negligence have severely impacted the future of millions of students across the country. They also raised concerns over reports of NEET aspirants allegedly taking extreme steps due to mental stress linked to examination-related issues.

Addressing the gathering, leaders said that to restore public confidence in the examination system and ensure justice for students, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should accept moral responsibility and resign from his post. They criticized the Central Government for failing to ensure accountability despite growing concerns over examination irregularities.

Prominent Youth Congress leaders present during the protest included Deepak Bagri, Ravi Kharat, Kunal Katkar, Saad Amanullah, and Anwar Khan. Several leaders and office-bearers of the Mira-Bhayandar City District Congress Committee also participated, including Group Leader Jai Thakur, Corporator Rubina Firoz, Rafiq Pathan, Ashraf Mistry, Rizwana Khan, Taren Mendonca, Sana Deshmukh, and Shaun Leo Colaco, along with a large number of party workers and local citizens.

The protest site echoed with slogans such as “Save Education, Save the Future,” “Stop Paper Leaks,” “Justice for Students,” and “Dharmendra Pradhan Must Resign.”

The Mira-Bhayandar Youth Congress warned that if strict action is not taken against those responsible and the Education Minister is not held accountable, the agitation will be intensified in the coming days.
