Mira-Bhayandar Civic Body Reviews Anti-Mosquito Spraying Drive Ahead of Monsoon

A review meeting regarding preventive medicine spraying and vector-control measures in the Mira-Bhayandar region was held on Monday morning at the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation under the chairmanship of Mayor Dimple Mehta.

During the meeting, officials discussed various preventive measures, planning of spraying campaigns, and strategies to ensure the health and safety of citizens. Special emphasis was placed on strengthening preparedness ahead of the monsoon season to curb the spread of mosquito-borne and seasonal diseases.

A detailed review was conducted of the ongoing medicine spraying operations across different parts of the city, including fogging activities, surveys of mosquito breeding sites, larvicide spraying, inspection of water storage areas, and the action plan formulated to control communicable diseases.

The meeting also focused on the effective implementation of preventive measures, enhancing public awareness campaigns, and strengthening the healthcare response mechanism. Necessary instructions were issued to the concerned officials to ensure timely and efficient execution of all health-related initiatives.

Among those present were Leader of the House Ravi Vyas, Additional Municipal Commissioner Priyanka Rajput, Deputy Commissioner Kavita Borkar, and Medical Officer Nandkishor Lahane.
