Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik Inspects Western Express Highway Flyover Work; Target to Open by June 10

Pratap Sarnaik inspected the ongoing flyover construction work along the Western Express Highway in Mira-Bhayandar and reviewed the progress of the project with concerned officials.
During the inspection, the minister directed authorities to speed up the remaining work and stated that efforts are being made to open the flyover for public traffic by June 10. The project is expected to play a crucial role in reducing traffic congestion on the busy highway stretch.
Officials associated with the project, including representatives from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), were present during the visit. Discussions were held regarding the current status of the construction, pending work, and measures to ensure timely completion of the flyover.
Following the flyover inspection, Sarnaik also visited the Sai Palace Hotel area to review ongoing drain-cleaning operations ahead of the monsoon season. He instructed municipal officials to complete all pre-monsoon preparations on time and ensure that drainage cleaning work across the city is finished before heavy rains begin.
The minister emphasized that the administration must take necessary precautions to prevent waterlogging and inconvenience to citizens during the monsoon.
