Love Triangle Suspected Behind Brutal Kidnapping and Assault in Mira-Bhayandar; Two Arrested, Three Absconding

 A shocking case of alleged kidnapping and brutal assault has come to light in Mira-Bhayandar, where a young man was reportedly abducted, assaulted throughout the night, and tortured inside a moving vehicle over a suspected love triangle dispute.

According to police sources, the incident took place around 11:30 PM on May 12, when complainant Shreyas Mishra was at his residence. One of the accused, identified as Ashish Raj, allegedly called Mishra outside his home. Soon after, the accused allegedly forced him into an Innova car and drove him around different parts of the city.

During the drive, the accused allegedly assaulted Mishra mercilessly. The victim has also alleged that the attackers burned him with cigarettes, causing serious physical injuries. The ordeal reportedly continued throughout the night.

Police said that around 9 AM the next morning, the accused dropped the victim back at his residence. Following the incident, Mishra was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, where his *MLC (Medico-Legal Case)* was conducted.

Based on the complaint, the Navghar Police have registered a case of robbery, kidnapping, and assault against the accused. So far, two accused have been arrested, while three others are currently absconding.

Investigators have also revealed that the accused allegedly snatched the victim’s mobile phone and chain during the incident. Preliminary investigation suggests that the matter may be linked to a suspected love triangle, though police have stated that further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact motive behind the crime.

The incident has created panic in the local area, raising serious concerns over rising violent crimes in the city.
