Muslim Community Reacts Over Poonam Cluster Bakra Controversy in Mira-Bhayandar
Muslim community members in Mira-Bhayandar react to the ongoing Poonam Cluster Bakra controversy, saying goats have been brought during Bakrid for years and no sacrifice takes place inside the society premises.
Mira-Bhayandar : Amid the ongoing Bakra controversy at Poonam Cluster-1 Society in Mira-Bhayandar, members of the Muslim community have responded, stating that goats have been brought to the society during Bakrid for many years and that the practice is not new.
According to local residents, no animal sacrifice is carried out inside the society premises and the goats are only kept there temporarily during the festival period.
Residents further claimed that initially a few families in the society had raised objections regarding the presence of goats, but the matter was resolved through mutual discussions and understanding. However, they alleged that some individuals unnecessarily escalated the issue, leading to tension and attempts to disturb the atmosphere in the city.
The reaction came from local residents of Poonam Cluster Building No. 1 during a media interaction.
