A video showing two allegedly intoxicated youths inside a moving Brezza car near Om Shanti Chowk in the Navghar area of Bhayandar has gone viral on social media, creating concern among local residents.
According to eyewitnesses, both youths were found in an intoxicated condition inside the vehicle late at night, leading to chaos in the area. Residents claimed that the car remained in a running condition for over half an hour, while the driver’s foot was reportedly on the accelerator, creating panic among people nearby.
Locals feared that if the vehicle had accidentally shifted into gear, it could have sped away uncontrollably and caused a major accident in the crowded area.
Sensing the seriousness of the situation, citizens gathered at the spot and reportedly broke the car window to switch off the vehicle and prevent any mishap.
Later, officials from Navghar Police reached the scene and attempted to bring the situation under control.
