In response to the rising temperatures and increasing incidents of heatstroke and sudden cardiac emergencies, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road conducted a special CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training program for police officers and personnel at Kashigaon Police Station.

A total of 8 police officers and 36 police personnel participated in the life-saving training session. Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Pujari and Assistant Police Inspector Manik Patil were present during the program.

During the session, expert doctors from Wockhardt Hospitals demonstrated how to administer CPR in emergency situations such as sudden cardiac arrest, breathing failure, unconsciousness, and heatstroke. Medical experts emphasized that timely CPR can play a crucial role in saving lives before advanced medical help arrives.

Health professionals also highlighted that the ongoing heatwave has led to a rise in dehydration, dizziness, and sudden cardiac-related incidents. Since police personnel often work long hours under extreme heat and stressful conditions, such emergency medical training becomes highly essential for their safety and preparedness.

The initiative was conducted as part of Wockhardt Hospitals’ social responsibility efforts. Hospital authorities stated that similar awareness and emergency medical training programs will continue in the future to promote public health and emergency preparedness.
